RELIEF.
One of the classes I’m taking this semester is creative writing and considering the teacher is a poet, we are focusing on poetry for most of the semester. Each week we will be discussing a new form, and on Thursdays we are given the task of writing our own poem in that form. On Tuesdays, we have to read our poem to the class… which makes me want to vomit.
I don’t write poetry. I haven’t written a poem since fifth grade. I don’t have the necessary pizzazz to read poetry “properly”.
I spent most of the day crying at my computer while trying to write a villanelle because I can’t rhyme worth of shit, even with the help of Rhymezone.com’s suggestions.
BUT I FINALLY FINISHED.
Now I just have a billion things to read for Intro to Fiction and Drama and British Literature I. But I just can’t focus because I’m facing serious emotional distress. I just want a time machine.
